Slurry injector - Exacta

An important characteristic of all the Exacta slurry injectors is the well thought out construction. Even though the machine has a large working width, it is still compact. The construction of the centre frame ensures that the slurry injector is built with an extremely short length; in this way, the slurry injector can be mounted directly behind the tank. The center of gravity of the machines is thus also close to the rear of the tank in order to achieve a good weight distribution for the whole combination.

Because the slurry injectors continue to increase in working width it has become increasingly important to ensure an even pressure on the disks and the injection system over the total working width. To overcome this problem Schuitemaker has introduced the HYDROCARE ground following system. This system ensures perfect track following; all elements are fitted with hydraulic cylinders to adjust to the ground type. Because of this each element can react individually to obstacles and, in addition, the ground pressure can be perfectly  adjusted for dry or wet circumstances. Because the hydraulic cylinders are connected with each other, ideal ground following can be achieved even in the tractor and tanker  tracks, for example.  The elements can also move a number of degrees in concert. The element can also be following steered a number of degrees.

The Exacta slurry injector is fitted with a 44, 48 or 52 holes distributor. The distributor has a simple triangular rotor with a large duct. The single row run ensures a good and constant distribution of the slurry. The cutting discs are exchangeable. In addition there is a middle chamber so that the mixing of oil and slurry can be avoided. Schuitemaker delivers a 5” PVC slurry pressure pipe with the slurry injectors.

Slurry injectors are often very heavily used in a short period of time. This means that it is important that they are reliable and maintenance friendly. The machine has thus, for example, only two pivot points and is fitted as standard with an automatic grease lubrication system (12 volt or optionally 24 volt). In addition, all disks have a unique Schuitemaker nylon protection layer to ensure that no dirt gets into the bearings.

To guarantee safety when travelling, the Exacta slurry injector is fitted with protection for the disks on the outside of the elements . The side arms are fitted with mechanical locks.  In addition, the Exacta slurry injector is fitted with road lights and a reflector plate. The total transport width is less than 3 meters for all models. The transport height is less than four meters for the Exacta 800 and 870.

Hard wearing coulter and supple slurry nozzles ensure an accurate slurry delivery/gift in the slit, also with a hard subsoil. The pinch-off system operates using six hydraulic cylinders. The slurry nozzle and the pinch-off hose are combined in one piece with an inside diameter of 60 mm. The slurry nozzles have a longer working life because the hard wearing coulter holds the slit open longer and thus protects the slurry nozzle from unnecessary wear.

The Exacta slurry injector is fitted with two winter bucks, and  in addition the slurry nozzles can be hydraulically opened and left in position.  In this way the rubber slurry nozzles are protected against possible distortion and unnecessary wear out.
